Suicide is not difficult....

The very word ‘suicide’ speaks atrocious. Ending one’s own life, the precious life which God bestowed upon men better than all the living creature in the world is something bizarre and unthinkable sometime, but when we fully analyze on someone who committed or thinking of committing, it is easier than we thought. The Christian takes suicide as one of the worst sin a man could committed. Indeed, ending what God had breathed life on us is not acceptable. However, to those who do not know about religion or God, it is not as callous as one think, for suicide comes when the person’s last choice has not been facilitated. For those whose life is all but suffering, suicide is not difficult.
We have heard hundred stories of poor farmer committed suicide when their crops failed. They ended their life when they realize suicide is the best thing that could help them end their miseries. Some committed suicide when they did not do well in exam fearing their parents would reproof them. They did so because they think that’s better than having been scolded by their parents. Other ended their life when their business or love failed. They commit suicide because they thought they’re not worth living anymore.
When a happy or normal person heard or seen these kinds of news, they would certainly blame that person as foolish and heinous. We cannot take for granted that suicide is not acceptable to everybody. Indeed, it’s a sad thing. Cutting shot of our own life is a sin unforgivable, however, to those whose life is all but miseries and pain, that’s the best thing they could do. For saying this, I do not mean I accepted or see suicide as normal and see no wrong at someone committing suicide. I do not hold a whiter side on suicide. I just wanted to express that their miseries were far deeper than we saw in them and that we ought to fight before that knock at our door.
In Bible, we were told that we should not worry about our tomorrow for tomorrow has its own sorrows. We were also told that we were worth far more than two sparrows. It goes on saying, they do not store their food in the barn, yet still they do not worry for tomorrow for God provided food for them. Indeed, we were worth not only more than two sparrows but more than million sparrows, however, for men, they had reason to be worry about their tomorrow. As men were voracious and self-adored by nature, nothing comes free and a labor is required because God had curse the land the day Adam and Eve swayed away from His command. God had cursed the man that he would toil hard to produce food to feed him and his family and to woman, He had cursed the pain and suffering in her childbirth and more. For that very reason men had to toil hard for a living. And to those men, work is denied, suicide comes like a healer, for they had no means to keep their body alive. We cannot blame those men unable to find work as lazy, indolent, foolish or do not have responsibilities. In the city where the population amount to more than millions of people, finding work becomes an issue. We knew that no millionaire ever willing to treat a poor beggar to dinner at his table.
As the technology advanced beyond a common man’s expectation, shuts many opportunities of works, thus leaving our brothers homeless and hungry. Since the world become more and more self-centered, helping one’s own brother become a past thing to many. These days, rich man seems to be in needs of money more than the poor do. For if they’d think about their poor brother, they would have help them instead of storing to more than they can spend. When we saw a billionaire together with a pauper in one room, can we say life is fair from our heart? When a man owns a bicycle, he loves to possess a motor bike, and when he got the bike, he would again crave for a car and it goes on and on. The greed of men knew no limit. That is why men cannot compare to sparrow that satisfied a daily meal provided by the Almighty.
The rich worries only on how to earn more money than his friends and how to stay away from been robbed. The poor worries on how to stay alive and when their last hope of keeping him alive smudged, committing suicide is the only option. The rich blamed the suicider as incompetence and foolish, never realize how hard it is for the poor to stay alive.
It is very unfortunate that men ended life instead of trying for more. But I wondered, if we had faced a situation like them, we would try harder or do the same thing.
