Why do some succeed while some don’t?
Some says success is
purely hard working.
They claimed that by working hard, success becomes
achievable by 40%. They also have a short story to share.
There lived a hard working man, the busiest man in a
small town. He goes to his work early and return back home late. However, whatever
he does, it bears too little fruits that the people would ask him to stop
working. However, the man did not gave up and so people started calling him
crazy.
For three consecutive years, his crops failed and he
hardly managed his ends meet. One night, God appears in his dream. God said, ‘I
tried not to give you wealth and fame but since you have work so hard without
doubt, I will make you a rich man.’
From that day onward, whatever the man does produce
double fold. And eventually, he became the richest man in the town.
Some says success is
purely determination and perseverance.
To them, there is no
success without strong determination and perseverance. If a man gave up after a
few attempts, he deserves no success. To emphasis their belief, the above story
should be enough, however, they also have another story to tells you.
Marvin was a poor fatherless boy but he had a strong
determination. This young boy was determined to become an army officer. His friends
oftentimes discouraged him and try their best to distract his ambition with
thousand of lies but he proved himself the man by becoming an army officer. And
all those who tries to bring him were force themselves to pay respect to him.
Some says success is all
about luck.
They claimed that no matter how hard you work, it is useless
without luck. To prove their point, they too had a story to tell.
Barton and Foley decided to try their luck in the
city and promised each other to come back on the same day, time and place after
5 years.
As five years finally over, they met on the
appointed day as promised. Foley came with so much to tell about his good luck
and how he became so rich and marry a girl. Foley was expecting more good news
from his friend, as Barton was better educated and wiser but Barton, with his
head bow low, narrated all his misfortune.
Many says Success is
about knowing God first.
As God created everything and is Omnipotent, so it is
His will alone whether to bless and uplift somebody or curse and destroy somebody.
All of them were partly
correct. Success happens when a man is working hard to achieve it. But without
determination and perseverance, a hard working man can gave up easily before
his sweat bring smile. And at time, luck is essential in attaining success. But
luck will not favor a man who is indolent.
Above all, knowing God first can put every
problem alleviated. However, knowing God doesn’t mean that he will provides you
that you needs without you doing anything.
Let me tell you a story.
There was a boy who always seeks a short cut to success.
As his fifth grade final exam approaches, he prayed to God to help him clear
the exam. However, when the result is declared, sadly, the boy came last
instead of clearing the final exam.
You know why? He only
pray without opening his book.
