We Failed To Appreciate Those Who Help Us - 2

Trees

Tree lives and grows but they cannot move, so they cannot be help.

Can somebody prove the above statement right? I guess nobody could, because we really knew we need trees in our lives but how many of us appreciate their help and prevent someone from cutting down trees?
Just imagine how we would survive without oxygen. We need trees to provide the oxygen we breathe in. We all know that we inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide (CO2) and trees absorb CO2, and release the oxygen back into the air, don’t we? Studies showed that one large tree can supply a day's supply of oxygen for four people.

That’s not alone. Let us know more about how we benefits from the trees.

* Trees provides food/fruits and fuel in suburban and rural areas. And there’s not a home without the help of wood; be it doors, windows, or furniture.
* Trees absorb odors and pollutant gases (nitrogen oxides, ammonia, sulfur dioxide and ozone), dust and filter the air clean. It reduce glare. A well-placed tree can reduce noise by as much as 40 percent.
* Trees cool the streets and the city by up to 10°F. (It is claimed that the average temperatures in Los Angeles have risen 6°F in the last 50 years as tree coverage has declined and the number of heat-absorbing roads and buildings increased.)
* The beauty of a well-planted property and its surrounding street and neighborhood can raise property values by as much as 15 percent and homes are quicker to resell than homes without trees.
* The researchers claimed that three trees placed strategically around a single-family home can cut summer air conditioning needs by up to 50 percent.

* On hillsides or stream slopes, trees slow runoff and hold soil in place. By absorbing and deflecting falling rain, trees can reduce the severity of floods.

* Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States. Trees reduce UV-B exposure by about 50 percent, thus providing protection to children on school campuses and playgrounds where children spend hours outdoors.
* By reducing heating and cooling cost, trees can reduce our dependence on oil and natural gas.
* Studies have shown that patients with views of trees out their windows heal faster and with less complication.
* Tree plantings provide an opportunity for community involvement and empowerment that improves the quality of life in our neighborhoods.
* The American Forestry Association estimates that 100 million new trees would absorb 18 million tons of carbon dioxide and cut US air conditioning costs by $4 billion annually.
* Dews and frosts are less under tree because less radiant heat is lost at night.
* Trees are the least expensive plants you can add to your landscape when you consider the impact they create due to their size.
* A tree can add music to your life by attracting birds and other animals.
* Trees help people reflect positively on life' changes.
* Trees have been reported as having a relaxing effect on students studying for exams.
* Trees can create lasting impression on how a community is perceived by visitors and affect the mood and community pride of its residents.
 * Trees make communities livable for people and their activities.

The earth will be like this without trees.

Was not today the right time to save trees?
